Bitcoin is, in my opinion, the best independent payment method within our industry. The payments are fast and anonymous, with no risk of cancelled payment or frozen accounts due to violating a TOS. The only con to using Bitcoin is that you will have to convince buyers to get started with it, and sometimes help them with questions about how it works.
The easiest way to both purchase and sell Bitcoin in the US and most European countries is to create a Bitcoin wallet with
Circle.com or Coinbase.com (will update soon) and connect it to your bank account. Initial set-up takes a couple days to process, but once you’ve got your account up and running, transactions are quick and easy!

Bitcoin transfers often go through in 2-60 minutes. Fast, safe, and secure. My favorite option!
FirstChoice Pay (formerly Payoneer) is one of the most common methods of receiving payouts from third-party sites. They have a prepaid card as well as direct Global Bank Transfers, but you don’t get to decide which one gets used – That’s up to the company paying you. I have both set up, as some sites I work through use one, and some use the other.
The prepaid card does include an annual fee + deposit fees.
FirstChoice Pay has recently come out with a “payment request” service similar to Paxum, but I am not currently eligible for it, so I cannot comment on it. Some people have used the “load money to your card” feature to receive direct payments from buyers/clients, but I advise against this. They will start cancelling your transactions and flag your account for inappropriate use.
FirstChoice Pay overall is a great company and has definitely made a lot of things easier for me in regards to receiving payments from third party sites. My only word of caution is that their customer service kind of sucks. When I contacted them to ask why I wasn’t eligible for the payment requesting service, all they could tell me I was “My account was not eligible”. Similar issue happened when I wasn’t eligible for something else, too.
Similar to Bitcoin, the registration process takes a bit of time to get through, but once you’re set up, it’s quick and easy. Both buyer and seller must have a Paxum account in order for it to be an option. The name attached to your account will not be shown, but your username may be visible (so be sure to use your stage name or email for that).
How it works:
1. Once the buyer gives you their Paxum email address, fill out Request Money form (link is at the top of the page after you login to paxum.com). Note: The email you are requesting funds from must be the same email the buyer registered to Paxum with.
2. Buyer receives a money request in their email inbox, and follows the instructions in their email to send the requested amount to your account.
3. Money gets transferred to your Paxum account. If funds are pending, do not provide goods or services until they have cleared into your Paxum account.
Paxum funds can be withdrawn to your bank account, or you can request a physical card for debit transactions and ATM withdrawals direct from your Paxum account. Restrictions may apply based on location.
IndieBill is a third party website that handles credit card transactions for online adult services. They take a 15% fee, and they are strictly a payment processor (so they don’t promote you), but they do protect you from chargebacks, and are very buyer-friendly.
IndieBill payments are one of the most immediate of all options listed.
GiftRocket.com is a site that allows people to send cash gift cards, which can be redeemed to US bank accounts and credit cards (Canadians, you can accept Giftrocket too). The downside to Giftrocket payments is that they do not clear instantly, and they charge a small fee to the sender. You should notify buyers that they will have to wait until payment clears your account for products or services to be delivered. This typically takes 2-6 days.
GiftRocket does not condone the use of their service for the sale of adult items. E-mails found to be receiving large volumes of gift cards will experience a fee increase when buyers purchase cards for you. Change your e-mail periodically to avoid the fee and keep gift card messages discreet.
The easiest and most commonly used method, Amazon gift cards are sent directly to your e-mail and are redeemed instantly. These can be purchased by buyers in most countries, so be sure to direct buyers to purchase the gift card from the Amazon website you will be using in your country (Amazon.com, Amazon.ca, Amazon.co.uk, etc).
It is worth noting that Amazon does not support adult businesses, but they do not go out of their way to investigate claims of adult industry use unless directly prompted to. This means they are a slight risk. Keep gift card messages discreet and you shouldn’t experience any issues.
Things to keep in mind:
• ONLY accept gift card codes emailed to you directly from Amazon. If someone sends you just a code, ask them to cancel it and send you the gift card through Amazon. Codes can be fake and/or stolen or claimed as fraudulent, so redeeming a code you didn’t receive in an email from Amazon can get you in trouble.
• The e-mail you receive the gift card to does not have to match the e-mail that your Amazon account is associated with. This means if you have an email address dedicated to selling/performing, you can receive the gift card to that email account but redeem the code to an Amazon account that is connected to your personal email.
• Many sellers choose not to keep gift cards, since they can’t be used to pay rent or bills. Purse.io is a great site for converting Amazon gift cards to Bitcoin.
Great for buyers who want to pay with PayPal. They buy you a gift card and pay for it with PayPal through Gyft.com, and you receive the gift card without your own PayPal account being involved in the transaction. Gyft.com has plenty of gift cards to choose from. The buyer’s name on Gyft.com MUST match their name on PayPal, so this option is not anonymous for them if they use their legal name on PayPal – However, if they are the ones that asked to use PP in the first place, chances are this is a non-issue for them.
Because gift cards can be canceled, we recommend spending it as soon as possible to minimize the chance of a buyer doing a chargeback and leaving you with an empty gift card after goods/services have been provided. Requesting gift cards that you can spend online is your best option, especially since you could technically spend it before providing goods/services to the buyer (if you already know exactly what you want and can order quickly, so as to not leave the buyer waiting).
Check the Giftcards for Cash (coming soon!) post for information on how to swap your gift cards (at a small loss) for actual money.
Whole Foods: Anonymous and instant.
Southwest Airlines: Anonymous, but takes some time to send.
Starbucks: Anonymous, but takes some time to send.
Sephora e-giftcard: Takes some time to send. Buyer anonymity uncertain.

Found here, this option is only usable when both the buyer and seller are Canadian, but it is pretty quick and easy to use. As with most other payment methods listed above, the sender only needs to know your e-mail address. The name they include is whatever you tell them to put, and does not have to match the name on the account the money will be deposited into.
You will be able to see the buyer’s name, but if this is a concern for them, don’t fret! If they go into their Interac e-transfer settings, they can choose a name that will appear when sending e-transfers that does not match the name legally attached to the bank account. They’ll just need to remember to change it back before sending e-transfers to anyone they know if they want to avoid any questions!
Found here, payment with PingIt is sent using only a mobile phone number and neither the buyer or the seller have to bank with Barclay’s to be able to use the service. UK sellers with buyers in the UK could use this service with a free SIM card from any of the major networks. That way there’s no need to give the buyer your real mobile number. Payment on this service can take anywhere from 10 seconds to an hour to appear in your bank account depending on which banks the buyer and seller use.
I do not personally use Squarecash, but it is a very common payment option.
Payments are sent to your e-mail and redeemed to your bank account within days. Squarecash has limits for unverified accounts, you can’t send more than $250 per week and you can’t receive more than $1,000 per month without verifying or upgrading your account. Your real name and last 4 digits of your SS are required in order to lift these limits and verify your identity.
Using SquareCash for adult services is against their TOS, use this payment method discreetly or strictly with buyers you trust.
• Attempting to use fake information like a stage name to verify your account will result in not being able to upgrade your account in the future.
• Some payments will take longer to clear. Check with your bank to make sure that they aren’t holding the funds on their end for their own reasons. Sellers have had success simply verifying the amounts and requesting the payments be made available to them.
This method is recommended for high volume and/or full time sellers. CCBill allows you to accept credit cards instantly for most of your adult services, all approved by their TOS. Some items and content are not permitted by their TOS including used panties and taboo fetishes ( incest, scat, pee, ageplay, etc). Read through their terms fully before enrolling. The service costs approximately $1,000 per year to enroll and a small percentage of each transaction is also taken. We’d recommend making sales for 1 month and doing the math to see if CCBill will be worth it for your business versus other payment methods.
